1  Joint formula (small animal) - no prescription required
Our clients report good results with this product which supplies the raw   materials for joint repair (Glucosamine and Chondroitin).  It also contains Vitamacin C, Copper, Zinc, Manganese, Cobalt, and Selenium.  Joint formula works synergistically with Cartrophen and Pentosan.

2. Joint formula  (equine) - no prescription required
The Joint Formula is a nutritional supplement which is widely used by owners and managers of horses who are looking for optimum physical performance.

The Joint Formula contains glucosamine, chondroitin, vitamin C and trace elements. These trace elements are selenium, cobalt, copper manganese and zinc – all in a chelated, more easily absorbed form.

Scientific research has shown that these ingredients, if regularly fed to horses, are likely to produce a positive response in horses with joint wear and tear.
The Joint Formula is produced in Australia from high quality raw ingredients.  It has been used in clinical veterinary practice for 5 years with 90% of horses showing a positive response.   

3. Joint formula with Copper Indomethacin (small animal)  - prescription required.
Use of this product is indicated when there is significant arthritic change.

Herbal Products

 

 

1. Herbal anti-inflammatory. Our clients report good results when this is used on its own or

with anti inflammatories like Phenylbutazone or Copper indomethacin or Meloxicam. The herbal

treatment allows the dose of these anti inflammatories to be approximately halved. Our clients
claims are backed up by reports of efficacy in the human scientific literature

 

Miscellaneous Veterinary Products

 

 

1. Swimmers solution - to be used after your dog has been washed or been swimming as a way

of drying out the ear canal and lessening the chances of infection. No prescription required.


2. "No lick" solution - this can be used around wounds, stitches or sores that your animal may

be trying to lick.


3. Potassium Bromide raspberry flavoured syrup - used in conjunction with Phenobarbitone,

this will reduce the dose of Phenobarbitone necessary by approximately half in epileptic dogs.

4.  Chilla Boots
Chilla cool boots provide fast effective pain relief from sprains, bruising, swelling and arthritis. 
Vertical channels allow fast transfer of cooling without restricting blood flow.  The cooling crystals are within the wrap so there is no mess and they are easy to apply, giving both pressure and cold to the affected area.

Chilla products available for horses include:

  • Hock
  • Leg (coronet to knee)
  • Tendon (fetlock to knee)

Chilla boots have proved to be beneficial in the prevention and treatment of  HEAT, SWELLING, PAIN, BRUISING, and ARTHRITIS.

5.  Stud Guard
This product is designed to prevent a horse hitting and injuring its chest with shoes or studs when jumping. It is made of flexible N.Z. sheepskin and moves with the horse. It slides easily on to your horse’s existing girth.
