The animal presenting with a problem is the first piece, and then there are a number of ways we can gather other “pieces” of the puzzle, in the hope of gaining a clearer picture of what is going on inside the animal.

At ''The Vet Centre'' we have a number of tools that can be used to help us help your animal:

Radiology – X-rays give us a 2-dimensional view of bones and the outline of soft tissues, as well as spaces like the lungs. In addition to our x-ray machine in the clinic, we also have a portable x-ray machine for taking equine radiographs in the field, and a dental x-ray unit.
