The animal presenting with a problem is the first piece, and then there are a number of ways we can gather other “pieces” of the puzzle, in the hope of gaining a clearer picture of what is going on inside the animal.

At ''The Vet Centre'' we have a number of tools that can be used to help us help your animal:

Ultrasonography – An ultrasound allows deep structures of the body to be visualised by recording echoes of ultrasonic waves which are directed into the tissues. It is useful for pregnancy diagnosis in horses, dogs, cats, alpaca, sheep, goats ect. In dogs ultrasound is used for examining the heart and abdominal organs. We are fortunate to have Dr. Harold Pook visit the clinic for advanced Ultrasonography procedures.
